Leading questions

• What kind of variation is observed in the primary categorization of lexical meanings?
• If there are significant differences among languages, what do they correlate with?

Sample: 116 concepts in the domain of experience, translated into (simple) stems of the sample languages.

Assigment of the categories N, V, A or none to each of the stems and roots.

Categoriality of a lexeme is highest (=1) if it belongs to exactly one category.
It diminishes as a lexeme can be used in more categories.
It is = 0 if a root or stem belongs to none of the categories (without derivation).
